Our History:
We have many accomplishments from which we derive considerable pride and satisfaction. It is important to us and our Charitable Organization that the tragedy of Daniels passing bring valuable assistance to children and families in need. With this thought in our minds and our hearts we established the Daniel Povegliano Endowment Fund. An endowment fund can be established to support a specific area of research, hospital program, the purchase of equipment, or designated to the highest priority needs at SickKids. The endowment fund is permanently invested and professionally managed by SickKids Foundation. Only the income is spent once the endowment has reached a minimum size. Although each endowment fund is unique, all endowments share one common element: they have been created by donors who hope to improve the lives of children. Daniel Povegliano Endowment Fund: The purpose of the Daniel Povegliano Endowment Fund is to support The Hospital for Sick Children’s (SickKids) “highest priority needs” as determined annually by SickKids Foundation in consultation with the Hospital’s Executive Committee. The Endowment will provide flexible funding for important needs of the Hospital, such as support for research, clinical scientists, staff education and training, or equipment. Our commitment is part of the reason that we are the largest community based fund raising organization for the SickKids Foundation.
